What does this app do…
In this game, you need to find the missing number which will correctly complete the equation.
You must work out the total of the sum on the left hand side of the equals sign, and then find the number which will fit into the right hand sum to make the same total. This will make both sides equal and so will ‘balance’ the equation.
There are 3 different modes that you can play: Lives, Timed, and Fixed. You can choose the game mode you wish to play from the settings menu.
In Lives mode, you start with 3 lives. You will lose 1 life every time you answer incorrectly and the game will end when you run out of lives!
In Timed mode, you will have a set amount of time to answer as many questions as possible, but don’t rush too much because you’ll lose points for each wrong answer!
In Fixed mode you will be given a set number of questions, and the game will track your percentage. Can you get a perfect 100%?

This game is excellent preparation for any students preparing for 11+ Verbal Reasoning or Common Entrance exams, but will be of tremendous benefit to any child.

This game will help to improve students’ accuracy, speed and confidence when working with numbers. This improvement will inevitably reflect in their school work, as well as laying excellent foundations for all future numerical encounters!

This game has been developed by Lucky Gecko Apps in association with Lucky Gecko Tuition.
Lucky Gecko Tuition is a small, friendly group of tutors based in Buckinghamshire, England. They work with children aged 7 to 18, and aim to boost confidence and inspire a love of learning in all their students. They run a number of specialist classes, including an 11+ Verbal Reasoning course and a children’s Reading Club (both of which helped to inspire this app!).
